Laura Perry is a dedicated mother, business owner, public servant, and coach who knows what it takes to get results. As the owner of several small businesses in Southeast Michigan and former executive she has spent her career creating job opportunities by building efficient long-lasting infrastructure in the organizations in which she serves. Now, Laura is ready to bring her proven leadership to Lansing as your next State Representative for District 31.

Laura attended Upper Iowa University on a NCAA Division II soccer scholarship and triple majored in Finance, Business Administration and Sociology. She then completed her MBA at the University of Toledo with a concentrate in Marketing - Professional Sales. She would go on to work in the healthcare staffing industry for 9 years at the Director and Executive level before returning to her hometown in Monroe County where she purchased a local sporting goods and custom decorated apparel shop. With a background in government contracting, business development, sales and strategic growth, Laura understands what it takes to cut red tape, foster strong partnerships and drive economic success.

Laura’s passion extends beyond business, she’s dedicated to strengthening our communities. As the Chair of the Dundee Downtown Development Authority, Commissioner on the Monroe Downtown Development Authority and an SMCC Athletic Booster she works to revitalize local businesses, create economic opportunities and strengthen operational effectivness. As a Varsity Soccer Coach and mentor, she understands the importance of investing in our children’s education and future. Laura has also served her parishes as a Eucharistic minister and Lectern.

She will champion lower taxes, less government, strong schools, small businesses, and fight to protect conservative family values.
